Enhanced Cleaning & Disinfection

All hotels are required to use Ecolab’s  EPA or Health Canada registered disinfectants in guest rooms and public spaces at all U.S. and Canadian hotels.  Ecolab is a global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention technologies and services, and through its science-based approach, they help enable hotels to consistently achieve the highest cleaning standards.

Training & Resources Kit

Wyndham University has created this kit, consisting of best practices, resources and related training broken down into three simple steps, to help ensure that guests can Count on Us to provide a clean and safe experience. All three steps are mandatory for all hotels.

Count on the Promise to Put Safety First

As a member of the AHLA Safe Stay Advisory Council, which is comprised of other industry leaders and public health experts, scientists, and medical leaders, we have helped to develop a series of industry best practices and guidelines focused on enhanced hotel cleaning practices, social interactions, and workplace protocols. Our health and safety standards are based on guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and are designed to help our hotels deliver a more consistent cleaning experience.

Clear Communication with Guests

It's important to clearly communicate your hotel’s safety measures. We recommend prominently displaying signage at each entrance to the hotel informing all employees and customers that they should observe appropriate health measures, which may include, avoiding entering if they have a fever, cough or other COVID-19 symptoms, sneezing and coughing into one's elbow, and washing hands with soap and water, or using hand sanitizer. Signage should also be provided advising individuals of any mask or other restrictions applicable to your hotel.
