The Sports segment partners with global customers whose primary focus is on youth, amateur and a bit of collegiate athletics. We have strong relationships with all of the top third party intermediaries.
Two full time sellers are deployed against the Sports Market.
Our single greatest resource is the utilization of Global Account Services/Sports Desk in Saint John. They work hand in hand with the individuals dedicated to the Sports Desk in servicing all of our sports accounts.

The Tour and Travel segment we focus on, within the Specialty team, is that of the Group Tour Series and Adhoc group side of the business. The Wholesale/FIT side is managed by a division of our Global Distribution Team; Channel and Distribution Strategy
Our Tour and Travel clients have business that reaches across all 20 of our brands from Economy to Upper Up-Scale. The seller deployed against this market focuses primarily on tour operators/receptive operators and the 3rd party intermediaries that serve this segment. Approximately 50 accounts are currently being managed.
Much like our Sports team, the dedicated specialists on our Global Account Services/Tour Desk in Saint John play a crucial role in servicing our Tour customers.

SMERF, Entertainment & Affinity
The SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious/Faith Based, and Fraternal) and Entertainment segments are a relatively new focus for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ GSO team.
Within SMERF, our main business development focus is within Higher Education with secondary focus on Social and Religious/Faith based sectors of the segment. Within Entertainment, our main focus is on key 3rd party intermediaries that provide sourcing and logistics services. Additionally, we maintain a focus on select Member and/or Affinity based accounts to increase access and promote discounts to a vast number of potential travelers.
Currently we have one seller deployed against this market. The seller utilizes the Global Account Services team for group opportunities and the RFP/Distribution Team for transient opportunities (both based in Saint John).
